Now that you’ve captured your newborn’s first days it’s time to start planning Milestones. The first year of your baby’s life will zoom by seemingly faster than a 9 month pregnancy – seriously! Do not let time slip away without documenting the first BIG YEAR. Invest the time to remember how fast your little one grows.
THE CAKE SMASH 🎂
A very fun way to capture your little one’s first birthday is by giving them a Cake Smash photo session. All you need to provide is an outfit you do not mind getting messy, your darling toddler who is no longer your little baby (you can cry, how did your baby grow up so fast?!), and a cake or other treat you would love to see your little one gobble down. Not a fan of your little one having sweets? Fruit can make a fantastic substitute. Please be mindful of potential allergens in or exposed to the treat you provide for this session and of small toppings like sprinkles and nuts that could pose as a potential choking risk.
Where will a Cake Smash session take place?
Cake smash sessions can be captured in the comfort of your own home or in the home of your photographer, Suzanne, located in Mt. Morris Michigan (just north of Flint). Traveling to your home is perfectly acceptable and may be the best option for you and your mini. A small travel fee of 50¢ per mile round trip will be added to your session fee due to recent and unpredictable gas price hikes. Photographer will provide backdrop and a few decorations as well as a few props to include in your photos. Session will include a portrait portion of your child prior to smashing their cake or treat.
What will the session cost?
If you are a prior newborn client of Suzanne and booked through Sweet Me Photography you will be discounted $100 and be given 15% off of your next family photo session. Cake Smash sessions are an investment of $395, ONLY $295 for returning newborn clients.
MILESTONE SESSIONS
The first year of life is filled with a lot of changes. Your little one will start smiling at your face, and then before you know it you’ll start observing small chuckles that transform into big belly laughs in the months that follow. Your baby will begin to enjoy tummy time (even though that can be hard to believe), he or she will learn to sit up without assistance, and get ready to start chasing your little one as crawling is mastered! Milestone sessions aim to capture these skills before it becomes a blur and your toddler is running around on two feet.
Where will a Milestone sessions take place?
Milestone sessions can be captured in the comfort of your own home or in the home of your photographer, Suzanne, located in Mt. Morris Michigan (just north of Flint). What is included and how soon do Milestone sessions begin?
Milestones can begin as early as baby turning 3 months old and last around 30 minutes per session in length. Each session will include a proofing gallery and includes 5 free edited images of your choice. The 4th session will celebrate the first birthday and include the Cake Smash portion of the session. In total you will receive 20 free images with options to purchase more and a free black & white upgrade. Sessions will be scheduled when each Milestone is reached as every baby is different and develops at their own unique speed.
